I see that the media is on yet another windup about kids visiting farm attractions, yes I know E-coli is not pleasent and can prove fatal but I feel that the media is making a mountain out of a mole hill here.

Thousands of children visit farm centres every year, and how many do you hear of falling ill afterwards?? Washing of hands after contact with farm animals is vital, we all know that small children have a tendency to put their fingers in their mouths and most, if not all, of these places have good hand washing facilities and should be put to use, this is down to the parents to keep an eye on their children and make sure they wash their hands after contact.

Children love to visit these places, we did as kids and it would be a crying shame if they could not have contact with the animals, or even worse, these farm centres shut their doors for good, some children that live in the big cities never get to see farm animals, only fleeting glimpses from cars, let alone have contact with them.

Yet another media assassination is being hatched and a death nail for the centres involved. >

Cheers Lea you saved me the trouble of saying all that.
Whats the end result of all this rubbish going to be ?
Any responsible adult shouldn't even contemplate having children    Its just too dangerous ???

It depends..

Was it an arable farm?

You don't get many children's arable farms, in the same way the kids don't get to see what happens to the boy lambs  >
