I would advise all iTunes user to think twice before upgrading to 9.0
The new version has several severe bugs, see for example the discussion thread on the Apple site

The most annoying bug seems to be the wrong track sorting for multiple disc albums. Specifically, you no longer see disk first in order, but instead you get (apparently) random interlaced track order, so you might get something like: disc 2 track 1, disc 1 track 1, disc 1 track 2, disc 2 track 2, disc 2 track 3, disc 1 track 3, etc. This makes many classical albums (and not only those) unplayable, unless of course you like to hear different pieces mashed up together and the fourth movement of a symphony before the first one.
Sync of playlists (and podcasts) with iPods and iPhones apparently gives a lot of troubles too.
My advice is to stay with iTunes 8 until Apples releases a bug corrected version of iTunes 9
