I'm in shock, at last a company that offers excellent customer service. 

WHO, you ask, well the company is Belkin.

I have a Belkin surge protection socket, it protects my PC & accs, Hi-Fi, telephone line and aerial.  I noticed whilst doing a little maintenance that the protect light had gone off, meaning my equipment was no longer protected from spikes and surges, considering that this socket was at least 6 years old I set about searching around on the net for a new one.

I visited the Belkin web site and noticed that all their sockets had a lifetime warranty, so found a phone number and contacted them regarding my old socket, how pleasantly surprised I was when they said my old socket was covered by the lifetime warranty and would be replaced for FREE with a brand spanking new one, they even paid return postage of my old socket. They also asked if any of my equipment had been damaged, luckily none had been, they provided cover for damaged equipment as well.

I posted my old socket last Friday and received my brand new one on Tuesday , it is nice to know that there are still companies out there who do look after their customers and do honour their warranties.

Similar thing happened to me once. I was really impressed.....

then I woke up.

i had to get a new router off the post office broadband thanks to the misses leting the rabbits lose in the house and i had superb customer service.

Last Friday I posted a letter first class to The Brighton Centre requesting 2 tickets for The Spirit of Pink Floyd show at Hove next Sunday. I enclosed a cheque for £40.

I've just received my post today and the tickets have arrived. No charge for postage. No waiting for my cheque to clear. No service charges. Just 2 tickets at face value of £20 each. Outstanding service and I've just telephoned the Brighton Centre box office to tell them so.

Incidentally, compare making the same purchase for the same gig through Ticketbastards (who are the on line seller). Cost would be 2x£20 (tickets) plus 2x£2.50 (service charges) plus 1x£2.65 (for the privilege of collecting the tickets from the box office). TOTAL £47.65. As the 'Nan character' on The Catherine Tate TV show would say - "what a f*****g liberty"
