Just in case folk weren't aware and if you are maybe thinking of buying Windows 7, it's price is due to increase from 1st January.
This has been publicised for sometime, but I think it may have slipped through the net for most people. Windows 7, even before release has had a date specific pricing structure. The pre-release offer was very short, where you could obtain a full product for under £45.00. This is the current situation;
From the 22nd October launch date until the end of the year, pricing for full versions are £79.99 - Home Premium, £189.99 - Professional and £199.99 - for Ultimate versions of Windows 7.
If you hold off into 2010 before getting Windows 7, then from 1.1.2010 prices increase to £149.99 - Home Premium, £219.99 - Professional and £229.99 - Ultimate. That's a big hike for Home Premium, which is normally the most popular edition for home users. This operating system is a significant upgrade over XP and Vista and everybody seems to like it so far. If it is something you are considering, then it's worth bearing this in mind?
There are still offers around so check Amazon, Play and the usual suspects. If you are eligible you can get Win7 Pro (upgrade version) for £36.95 from
Software4Students This price is only until 29.12.2009. Software4Students are great suppliers if you are in education or have children/students in your household.
