i personally think the song world in motion by new order is the bees knees for sport music!
although im a fan of 'matchday music' genred tunes by me that i would hear or listen to describe the feeling of going to see a football or soccer match to my fellow over the pond floydians! they are not about sport but are like psyching up music to get excited to to go and watch the football.
tracks like stone roses-fools gold, u2-city of bliding lights, manic street preachers-australia
these are like psyching up upbeat tunes that really get me in the mood for football!

Does that song incorporate actual music performed "live" during a sporting event?  Like the Fearless singing or the USC marching band?

Haaaaaaaaa..........this Q made me laugh because the Agricultural College I went to years ago had a great basketball team, when they came out onto the court at the begining of games, they came out to, "I've got a brand new combine harvester". This was always hilarious! They still do this now, some 33 years later!
