I am always trying to listen to music on line for free.  I have a couple of favorite sites I like.

Pandora.com

This is a great player for when you don't know what you are specifically in the mood for.  It allows you to generate a "station" based on a group or song and has a large music base that includes a lot of lesser known artists.

This site is good if you know exactly what you want to play.  It plays a little commercial (5 seconds) every two songs and has mainly newer stuff, and its a gamble if they have what you want, but its not bad for free music.

I stumbled onto this site only a couple of days ago, and the verdict is still out whether or not its any good, it seems to be a player that allows you to play others music on line, but you cannot download the songs or anything like that... its not too bad.


Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had any gems out there that I haven't heard of.

Along with several others on this forum I have be using Pandora.com  for quite a long time.
                I just haven't needed to bother trying any different sites.

Pandora is becoming less and less appealling to me.  When they got the banner ads, I really didn't mind, but I just recently had a McDonald's ad while listening.  I hate to have to listen to commercials.  I figure that it will just get worse and worse.

Thats strange !Ive never had to put up with any audio adverts and when I'm bored with looking at the adverts on the top right of the page I just minimize the screen.

I have only got them a couple of times, here is a screen shot of today's.  It's only about 5-10 sec long... but it still bugs me a bit.

Here, here bigdog, im exactly the same! pandora is afantastic music site and recommends music in the same field and genre of the original music you type in, why need anything else!
