It's been well publicised elsewhere but I though I'd give a heads up for this new programme on BBC2 starting this Saturday 19th May at 9pm.

Pink Floyd are featured in the 2nd programme (26th) including some rare promo videos from the Syd era.

This show has been trailed very heavily. Lets just hope that it lives up to the hype ?
I for one will be very disappointed if yet again its the same old film that we keep seeing over the years,is regurgitated again for the umpteenth time.
Jools tonight might be good  Patti Smith and Joe Cocker will be on.

Well I thought this was a great programme and I'm looking forward to next weeks and the remaining 5 after that. Let's hope it continues to be as good.

I wonder if the programme has been made with the same care and attention to detail as the person who chose that photo.

I see somebody at the BBC needs to do their homework!

About the program.  Nothing that we didn't know already (but then I'm so starstruck that I've read Hendrix', the Stones and Clapton's bios).

Good to see inclusions from Clapton, Bruce and Baker as well as Mick and Keef.  I love listening to Keef ramble on and play his licks and riffs. Even if his face does resemble a cracked Victorian lavatory tile he's still a first class guitarist and highly entertaining.

Pity they didn't show Mick singing Sympathy For The Devil  a'capella from the film of the same name ... it's a spectacular piece of film!  Would have like to have seen more singing from Jack Bruce, and from a Hendrix perspective there was a better program straight after on BBC4 with some footage of him performing Johnny B Good.  What a great rhythm section Jimi had in Mitch and Noel.  I saw Mitch, Billy Cox and Slash playing tribute to Hendrix at the Music Hall of Fame a couple of years back and Mitch sounded fab. Wonder what Jimi would have sounded like if he could have controlled his feedback half as well as David    It would be have been amazing if he'd got to play with Stevie Winwood as was planned before his death.

To Ben, what was the best thing Dylan did?
