Siouxsie and I are roughly the same age.  She grew up in my town and I remember her hanging around in Bromley as part of the Bromley Contingent.  She also went the college I now teach at.  She'd walk into a local  bar with her boyfriend on a dogs lead.

She's on Jools Holland's later tonight.

I think that Siouxsie along with Debbie Harry paved the way for a lot of the female performers we have today like Madoonna, Gwen Steffani, Pink, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and the very talented Kate Nash.

Siouxsie has produced a total of 20 albums in her 30 year career.  Wished I'd made the effort  to see her live in Camden last week!

She's just released a fantastic new album called Mantaray.  Buy it!

I tried to stay awake for Jools last night but of course failed .
Mrs bigdog thought the show rather poor. I'm going to watch it on sky+ later on today,if I make no further comment it will be because I agree with her.
oh dear, I watched last night, pretty poor line up I'd say. I did the right thing not bothering to stay awake on Friday night.
I did watch The Boss on BBC hd last night. well worth it,the man was having a great deal of fun.

Must disagree with you BD - Liked Hard-Hi, thought Richard Hawley was rather good, the Japaneses Free Form Jazz lot were great fun and to cap it all, Siouxsie was brilliant!  The sound was very bass heavy and funky rocky if you get my drift.  Wasn't her bassist the chap who plays bass with Goldfrapp?
