Thanks for the info Leaat23. I reported some months ago that I'd been told that the band were in the studio working on a new album. I'm really pleased that it'll be out soon BUT after an eight year gap Ive decided to give it a listen before I buy ? Same with the new Metallica album, after the pile of crap that was St.Anger I wont be chucking  money away till Ive listened very carefully

Looking forward to hearing the new ACDC album myself. Looking forward to Metallica's new album too. Only listened to some tracks from St Anger but didn't like them. I do however love songs from the Load/ReLoad era as i'm not only a heavy metal fan. They debuted a new album track at Ozzfest(its on YouTube) and i thought it was pretty good.
I love Aussie Floyd. Simple as that lol.

I was one of the fools who got St.Anger on it's release date, how bad was that album : It sits in the CD rack collecting dust.

So what's the verdict on on the lead single rock 'n' roll train?

I think the guitar sounds a lot better than the more 'recent' stuff (of the last 18 years or so  ;D)
It seems stripped down and less processed and does not battle as much with the other instruments - just the way it should be. I thought songs like Thunderstruck lost their impact because there were too many layers, the guitar was not as clear.

At the end of the day it's another AC/DC song - it is the same as all the others.
Ok that last bit may not be true, some are more equal than others.  >

Just as I prefer 70's Floyd, and 80's Metallica, I will always prefer 70's AC/DC (and 1980)

www.acdc.com  I think thats where you can hear it.
Yes its another AC/DC single just like most of the others. Maybe they are hoping to attract a new younger audience ?
