. But everyone know Guitar > Bass!
The echo of a distant time comes willowing across the sand and everything is green and submarine.

I picked up the bass when I was about 15, which was 10 years ago. A lot of my mates could play the guitar so I thought I would try and be a bit different. The only problem was, I didn't like the music those mates listened to so I had to do it the hard way, playing on my own.
I did have a great teacher though, I even got to play at LIPPA, accompanying my Dad in a solo set in which we played Yesterday and Elinor Rigby. I also played Albertros and a few other songs that I can't remember with a full band. It was a really good day, but soon after I got bored as I didn't have a band to play in so I gave it up and bought a guitar instead.

That's very unusual. Most bass players go on to deliver pizzas, not play the guitar.  ;D
